The following access types for users

  • Anonymous user: Users that have not logged in. They are not allowed to perform actions on the platform. They only have limited access to public content and are not able to see the profiles of members.

  • Authenticated User: Users that have registered for the platform and connected to the platform through EU login; but are not verified yet by the organization managers.

  • Verified User : Authenticated user who has been verified by organisation manager or site manager. Only verified user can access  the information available for the the PICS community and who can see members information, read and create content and join groups.

Authenticated users (guests) are the users who are authenticated through EU log-in and who must request to join an organisation to be verified by the organisation manager of their organisation.

Authenticated Users  are logged-in, non-verified users with limited access to PICS. They are able to see the list of organisations and make requests for membership in an organization.
They are NOT able to:

  • View other PICS members' profiles;
  • View communities;
  • Change their notification settings;
  • View, create and share content.

What is the difference between authenticated users  and verified users?

If a membership request to join an organization from a authenticated users (logged-in, non-verified user) is accepted, the user status changes to verified. A verified user has more rights than a authenticated users . They can view other PICS members' profiles, view communities, groups, events, discussions etc. and create content (events, topics, tasks, discussions, groups).
